Danish dairy cows near calving needing get care box for some TLC
The MS OptiCare multi-function box from Schippers Danmark was evaluated a two-star New Product exhibit at last week’s Agromek 2016 agricultural show.
Near calving, cows often have a requirement for extra vitamins and minerals, plus additional energy.
In the MS OptiCare box, the cow is electronically identified, and can receive exactly the food additives which have been predetermined for it.
At the same time, the cow receives a foot bath.
When positioned in the cow-house section for cows that have recently calved, the MS OptiCare box automates cow care.
The simultaneous foot bath contributes to maintaining hygiene and helps to avoid hoof- related diseases.
The water in the foot bath is replaced automatically after each cow.
