Search on for world’s top steak

The World’s Best Steak Producer 2015, and gold and silver medals will be handed out in October in what is claimed to be the first global championship of its kind.

The challenge offers a platform for countries and steak producers to benchmark themselves against international competitors, gaining publicity and recognition, and an opportunity to engage with consumers to celebrate eating steak as part of a healthy balanced diet.

The search for the best sirloin steak — known in some countries as the striploin — has attracted entries from Australia, England, Ireland, the Netherlands, Uruguay, Canada, New Zealand, the US, and Japan.
