Last and final chance for valid GLAS applications
Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney said last week, “The online application system developed within my Department functioned extremely well, but some issues did arise as can be expected with the roll out of any new IT system.
“Issues were dealt with as they arose, but I am aware of a small number of cases, where it appears that attempts to submit valid applications before the scheme closed failed.”
The Minister was responding in the Dáil to Galway West Fine Gael TD Seán Kyne, who made representations on behalf of a GLAS applicant whose planner failed due to technical issues with the GLAS website, despite repeated attempts and contacts with the Department’s information and technology section.
