IFA calls on Coveney to convene Beef Forum

The IFA yesterday called on Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney to convene a meeting of the Beef Forum to take stock of recent developments in the sector.

Lifestock committee chairman Henry Burns said the last Beef Forum was in February and it is time Mr Coveney called another meeting to progress issues.

“The minister, as well as Bord Bia, Teagasc, and the meat processors, need to report on the progress being made on all of the various issues,” said Mr Burns.
