Hard decisions have to be made where the grass runs out

Winter returned to Ireland in recent weeks, grass stopped growing — unlike the rain, which forgot to stop.

It has been a very difficult few weeks on livestock farms throughout the country.

Many had completed the second rotation, and the third time round is almost over for some.
