Mid-Cork farm for €275,000
Whether or not it reflects positively on the mid-Cork region is moot, but in this case — the property market can decide.
This week, there’s a 38-acre farm for sale at Meenachoney, Donoughmore, and it includes a single, low dwelling that offers simple, one-bed accommodation.
However, with all the land around, there’s more than enough reason for a new dwelling.
The property, near to New Tipperary off the main Cork-Mallow road, might suit as a hobby farm, or as an addition to an existing holding. The land is all in one block and is on offer at €275,000 through Tom Heffernan of Sherry FitzGerald Hinchion, who is prepared to sell in lots.
Lot one includes the residence and 2.25 acres, and lot two is the remaining 36.549 acres.
The property is within easy reach of Cork City, Blarney, Mallow and Macroom, says Heffernan, adding that the lands have been kept in good heart. Some 20 acres are suitable for grazing, and the rest is in need of attention, or could be planted with forestry.
