Pig farmers told of scope to cut feed prices €20

A REDUCTION in composite feed prices of up to €20/tonne is possible, said advisers Peadar Lawlor and Michael Martin at the recent national Teagasc conferences.

Efforts can be made to offset Ireland’s feed cost disadvantage by using less of the more expensive diets; reducing feed credit and delivery costs; and optimising diet formulation.
