Equestrian and farming package at 15k per acre

A DRYSTOCK and tillage farm at Bartlemy, Co Cork, offers an equestrian and farming package, guide priced at €15,000 per acre.

Included are a four-bed bungalow, farmyard with large cubicle house, a machinery shed and two silage pits.

The 103-acre holding is just five kilometres north of Watergrasshill, within commuting distance of Cork city: it’s also close to Fermoy and Mallow.

The farm has been quietly on the market for some time, but now auctioneer Christy Buckley is going public with the sale. It’s being offered by private treaty initially.

Divided by the main Midleton-Rathcormac road, the Bartlemy property comes with great road frontage. The house, yard and most of the grassland are on one side, with the larger portion of the land on the other side, mostly under tillage with a little waste in the centre, and including a copse of mature timber. Woodland also shelters the house and yard.

The house and farm are offered in the entire, but can be sold in lots, says Buckley, who has a guide price of €1.95 million for the property.
