Tipp gelding reigns supreme at RDS

IT’S a long way from Tipperary to Ballynahinch, Co Down, but it was the route to victory for Lorenzo, June Lewis’s Bewley’s Hotels supreme hunter champions at Dublin Horse Show.

The four year old gelding bred in Co Tipperary, by Ricardo Z out of the thoroughbred Inch Madam, had won six championships and four reserves in the run up to Dublin.

Kelly Troughton, Portadown, was on board the winner, whose 10 year old Belgian bred sire stands at Tom and Magette Meagher's Kedrah House Stud, near Cashel.
