Partnerships save farmers money

IFA National Dairy Committee Chairman Michael Murphy said on Monday the new Master Partnership Agreement launched yesterday by IFA with Teagasc, ICOS and Macra na Feirme, sponsored by ACCBank, would save farmers who are forming partnerships a few thousand euros, as well as a great many legal headaches.

“IFA has been instrumental in lobbying the Department of Agriculture over many years to obtain the introduction of Milk Production Partnerships two years ago.

“We are strongly committed to promoting different types of work arrangements among farmers,” he said.
