More than 50 dealers will also discuss technical matters relating to lobbying activities of the group, market reports and dealer brand associations at the Congress, being held in Ireland for the first time in 24 years.

Simon Cross, president, Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA), which is hosting the congress, will formally open the event tomorrow.

CLIMMAR, which has 16 associations from 15 countries, estimates that the European farm machinery industry, which has about 20,800 companies with 164,000 employees and 40,000 trainees, has a turnover €24.5 billion.
