Agri-group launches country code

AGRI AWARE has launched a Code for Irish Countryside Use aimed at increasing understanding between people using the Irish countryside for recreational purposes and the farming community.

The pocket-sized guide, launched at a farm walkway in Lough Dan, Co Wicklow, is full of useful information on Irish farming and sets out guidelines to help keep people safe while they enjoy the Irish countryside.

Agri Aware chairman TJ Maher said: “Generations of Irish farmers have moulded the unique appearance of the Irish countryside to the position today where it attracts millions of foreign visitors each year, while at the same time, producing ... high quality food in a safe environment.
