Pig prices unchanged

PIG prices are unchanged, from 135 to 144 cent/kg in the south, €1.36 to €1.46 in Northern Ireland.

Export plants quote mostly flat rate at 140 to 143 cent net at Dawn and Galtee, 135 to 140 at Glanbia. Welfare pigs average €1.45 to €1.48. Pork slaughters quote from 140 to 146 cent.

Regular weaner outlet quotes are improved, at €47 to €49 for 32 kg, with up to €52 paid in open trade. Sow prices have improved, averaging €32/cwt liveweight.
