Huge interest in family partnerships

Many existing dairy farmers and new entrants to the sector now have the option of using partnerships to better their future following the widening of legislation last year.

Hugh interest is being shown in family partnerships and as a result Teagasc has organised a series of information meetings at eleven venues over three days next week, May 21, 22 and 23.

Full details on the new partnership for parents and son/daughter, how to apply for a milk quota and the criteria required will be outlined. Setting up and registering a partnership will also be explained.
