You know this – I’ve said it many times before – but I’m not on Twitter anymore.  My partner runs my account and I don’t even have the password, lest the temptation to return become too much. But sometimes I go on the site anyway and I lurk.

 — the reality of living in a fat-phobic culture means my thinness inherently makes the story of my eating disorder and recovery more palatable

We need to self-soothe and for some, the habits we fall back on in times of stress are healthy. Others, perhaps less so.
