Over the past two weeks, I've been testing Samsung's new Galaxy Buds FE, which has a lot of promise, especially considering their price of €90. These earbuds bring back the comfortable and secure wing tip design, making them suitable for various activities.
On the software front, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Buds FE with a range of customisation options through its dedicated app. Users can tweak equaliser settings to tailor the audio profile to their liking. Additionally, having notifications read aloud adds a layer of convenience, reducing the need to reach for the connected device.
The Buds FE delivers a sound profile characterised by liveliness, with a noticeable emphasis on bass. The bass response shines in genres like hip-hop and acoustic music, creating a satisfying listening experience. However, the mid-bass dominance does come at a cost, slightly diminishing the clarity of vocals and higher instruments.
While the Buds FE will work with any Bluetooth-enabled device, you will get a richer experience with Samsung devices. The perks include access to Bixby, Samsung SmartThings lost and found, and Samsung auto-connect.

The Buds FE have the longest battery life of all the Buds series; they can playback for up to 8.5 hours and up to 30 hours when using the charging case. You can listen to music for up to six hours with ANC on and a total of up to 21 hours when the case is used. Unfortunately, they don't support wireless charging, which is a pity.
The Galaxy Buds FE present an attractive package with long battery life, the return of the wing tip design, and commendable active noise cancellation. However, the lack of wireless charging and a few missing features, like true multi-point connectivity, dampen the overall appeal. The Samsung Galaxy Buds FE offers a solid and reliable experience while performing above its price.
