Hacked Yahoo Data For Sale On Dark Web

Yahoo last week announced that hey were victim of the largest data breach of all time with over 1 billion of their users data being compromised.

It has been reported today by the New York Times that that information is now being sold on the Dark Web.

They are reporting that at least three people paid at least $300,000 for the complete database of stolen information.

Yahoo and the public were ignorant to the breach until a month ago when american authorities came to Yahoo with evidence of the hack.

Yahoo seems to blame government sponsored hacking of the company which lead to the breach, this news coming at a precarious time for the tech company as they are currently in the midst of a selling the internet core of their business to Verizon, reportedly for $4.8 billion.

The breach has completely shaken the certainty of the bid and it appears that Verizon are having second thoughts, after Yahoo stock tumbled six percent in a single trading day last week.
