A Date for Mad Mary clip- another top Irish film arrives

A Date for Mad Mary is a new Irish film about a young woman who has just been released from prison and her attempt to find someone to go to her friends wedding with.

She's Mary, and she's looking for a date.

It stars Dollhouse lady Seána Kerslake as Mary who is having some trouble in general coping with life. You can get a taste of the action in this new clip, which might be the only minute in the film without a curse word!

Shot in late 2014, it's the first feature from Irish play chap Darren Thornton, who previously worked on Love is the Drug for TV. It comes from a play he staged back in 2010 called Ten Dates with Mad Mary which was written and performed as monologue by Yasmine Akram.

Now it's in a whole new form and will be sweeping across Ireland in cinemas from the 2nd of September, 2016.
