The great Jim Broadbent is coming to Game of Thrones

One thing that Game of Thrones probably doesn't need is adding more characters to the mix but in this case we'll make an exception- because it's Jim Broadbent!

Entertainment Weekly reports that the English actor is going to have a 'significant' role on the new season, which will begin airing next summer. We don't know more than that and honestly would rather it remain a bit of a surprise for a change in this land of spoilers.

Broadbent has had an amazing career on the big and small screen over nearly 40 years. He's been in Time Bandits, Brazil, The Crying Game, The Borrowers, Moulin Rouge, Gangs of New York,Vera Drake and Brooklyn, and picked up an Oscar for his part in Irish back in 2001.
