Doom's campaign trailer is bloody brilliant
There's also a visceral campaign trailer to go along with the release date announcement. The trailer is short on actual plot details, but who needs a plot when you get to tear demons to shreds?
The trailer shows off some of the melee finishers that players can use, as well as the frenetic pace that the game will whip along at. And then a Cyberdemon appears to ruin the Space Marine's day in the worst way possible. It looks like quite a departure from 2004's Doom 3, which was a slower paced scarefest.
If you're fond of splurging on special editions, Bethesda announced that the Collector's Edition will retail for around $120 and comes with a 12-inch Revenant statue and a metal case.
Doom will be released on May 13th.
