Critics Choice Awards honour Stallone and more

The Critics Choice Awards for 2016 were handed out last night in California, with some familiar faces picking up prizes. Now in its 21st year, the nominees are put together by members of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.

Mad Max scored in the technical awards and also took some acting honours in the action cinema category while The Revenant had a few high profile wins. It's great to see Lenny Abrahamson's Room pick up two acting awards and Ex Machina being singled out as the best sci-fi number of the year.

On the TV side, Rami Malek got some deserved attention for his role in Mr. Robot, which also won best drama and best supporting actor for Christian Slater. And the marvellous Carrie Coon picked up an award for her stupendous performance in HBO's The Leftovers. Check out the full list below.
