Star Wars Battlefront's Battle of Jakku free to download today

Star Wars Battlefront's Battle of Jakku DLC will be released for free today. DICE also released a trailer to show off the map and its spectacular events.

The first DLC, Battle of Jakku, for Star Wars Battlefront will be free to download today. This adds two new maps, a brand new game mode, and gives us a glimpse at how the battle weary surface of Jakku that we’ll see in The Force Awakens came to be.

DICE showed off the DLC at an event last night featuring some big names in the YouTube community like Ali-A, Vikkstar123 and JackFrags. They showed off the maps and the new Turning Point game mode in all their competitive glory.

Turning Point tasks the Rebel soldiers with capturing three control points under Imperial control. The clock is always ticking, but capturing a control point adds time onto the clock.

DICE also released an epic trailer for the free DLC, featuring aerial dogfights, explosions, and a glimpse at one of the spectacular events that will occur as matches play out.

Star Wars Battlefront’s Battle of Jakku will be free to download from today.
