Ash vs Evil Dead gets a second series

We’re very excited for the new TV show Ash vs Evil Dead which is set to debut on Starz on the 31st of October 2015. That’s Halloween in case you didn’t know.

Ash vs Evil Dead gets a second series

The early buzz has been incredible with the show bringing back original star Bruce Campbell as Ash, who is old and wrecked but still has Deadites to fight. Director Sam Raimi is also back and the presence of the series on the Starz network means they can go all out with the gore and bad language - because otherwise what would be the point?!

Before the first season has even arrived Starz has confirmed that a second season is already in the works. Here’s managing director Carmi Zlotnik:

"“One season isn’t enough to satisfy the fans’ two-decade-long appetite for more Ash. “The early fan and press support, along with the international broadcaster demand for more story, have made it clear that the adventures of Ash Williams can’t end with Season 1."

That’s pretty good news, especially given the great reviews and the fact that this initial run of 10 episodes will only last 30 minutes each. The main players will be back for the second series, including Campbell, Raimi, Lucy Lawless and long-time Evil Dead alum Robert Tapert.

For now, get ready for Ash vs Evil Dead season 1, running from the 31st of October 2015.
