New Star Wars: Battlefront trailer plays on nostalgia

The latest Star Wars: Battlefront trailer starts with an image that many of the early Star Wars fans can relate to, stuck in an office with only the memories of amazing Star Wars experiences.

But then his friend shows up in an X-Wing, saving him from his monotonous life. As you do.

Of course, it’s all part of Star Wars: Battlefront promotional campaign. The message here is that you can live out all of your Star Wars fantasies in the game itself.

The trailer takes us to the Walker Assault mode on Hoth, which is sure to be the most atmospheric game mode. X-Wings and Tie Fighters dogfight overhead, soldiers battle it off on the ground, and Walkers dominate the skyline, a terrifying sight for any Rebel soldier to behold.

Some who played the beta may take issue that a Walker actually falls. DICE has said that it is going to look at balancing issues for the mode, which many believed was in favour of the Empire.

Star Wars: Battlefront lands on November 17th.
