VIDEO: Ash vs Evil Dead - Meet the new crew

It probably isn't appropriate to be this excited about a TV show, but we're just about ready to tear our own faces off in anticipation of Ash vs Evil Dead.

In case you don't know, it's the long-awaited revival of The Evil Dead franchise, with Bruce Campbell himself back as Ash many years after his last encounter with the Deadites. He's older, paunchier and has some new friends who you get to meet in this behind the scenes vid.

There's nothing we don't like about this series - from the way Ash's character has gone in the intervening years to the campy ridiculousness of the splatter. He's just a lazy good for nothing guy who also happens to be the only one who can save the Earth from this fresh hell, and Campbell is exactly the guy for that role.

Sure it would have been nice to have another big screen outing when the actor was in slightly better shape but he still looks great on screen, and the action moments we're glimpsing still have plenty of style and energy. We're looking forward to seeing what newcomers Ray Santiago, Dana Delorenzo and Jill Marie Jones add to the mix but it's safe bet that Lucy Lawless is a real scene stealer.

Ash vs Evil Dead starts on Starz in the US on the 31st of October 2015.
