System Shock is improved and on GOG.com

Well now, this is very exciting news - System Shock is back. And it's better than ever.

System Shock is improved and on GOG.com

Originally released in 1994 (yes 21 years ago) the game by Looking Glass Studios was one of the most complex, atmospheric and grim role playing sci-fi games ever made. With a first person viewpoint and amazing attention to detail, it thrust you into the terrifying world of a space station in 2072, where rampant AI Shodan reigned supreme.

The original version of the game has been available as a digital download for some time but now it's back in an enhanced edition, which has been put together by the talented folks at Night Dive Studios - who are all about bringing back older games with new features which make them easier to play on current systems.

And here's how System Shock is looking in 2015.

The new features include high resolution graphics support with improved in game visuals, full mouselook (believe it or not this was mostly played with the keyboard) and a bunch of bugs from the original game tweaked and fixed. The most important part is that everything you remember about System Shock is exactly as it was more than two decades ago, and you can look forward to playing it perfectly on your brand new PC.

Plus for purists the original game is also included in the package. You can grab the game now on GOG.com with 20 percent off and a massive 40 percent discount if you already own System Shock 2. Which you should, because its amazing.
