Life is Strange finale coming on October 20th

The fifth and final episode of Life is Strange will be released on October 20th, according to publisher Square Enix.

Unfortunately for fans, this is the longest that they’ve had to wait between episodes. This is something that developer Dontnod addressed in an update to players.

The developer is ensuring that the final episode is the best it can be. It also warned that it’s announcing the release date before the episode is 100% ready, so it could be subject to change.

“We don't normally announce a date until we know the game is 100 per cent ready but in the spirit of Max's birthday (today) we wanted to let you know early that we are aiming to release Episode 5 'Polarized' October 20th,” producer Luc Baghadoust wrote.

He added, “Many things can change in the lead up to release but the team are working really hard to try and hit this date. We know the wait may be a bit longer than some of you were hoping for but we want to ensure Episode five is the best it can be. "Your tweets, comments and messages have kept us going through this busy stage of development and we can't thank you enough for your continued support."

Life is Strange has become a cult hit, selling 1 million copies in the process.
