Star Wars The Force Awakens releasing early in Irish cinemas!

It is official, Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens is going to be in cinemas in Ireland early!

Star Wars The Force Awakens releasing early in Irish cinemas!

The release date was originally set at December 18th 2015 and it has now been brought forward to December 17th! Yes it’s not much of a change but it does mean that we’ll get to see the film in cinemas a day before the folks in the US of A.

No matter where you live, Star Wars is set to own the Christmas period - especially as the entire toy line has now been revealed. People are going to go absolutely ape for the remote-controlled BB-8 toy, and he’s also set to pretty much steal the show in the film as well.

Licensed toys don’t get much better than this.

The film is set (rather conveniently) 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, as a new evil rises in this galaxy far, far away. Some familar faces are in the mix, including Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher and they’re joined by new heroes and villains including Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o and Ireland’s own Domhnall Gleeson.

Also, in case you didn’t know, this new release date means it’s just 100 days until The Force Awakens is in cinemas.

Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens is in cinemas in Ireland on the 17th of December 2015.
