A new Star Wars film also means an entire new range of toys, and they’re almost ready to launch.

See the new Star Wars toys first with midnight openings in Ireland

Force Friday is coming on the 4th of September 2015 - it’s a globally orchestrated launch of the new range of merchandise which will also include midnight openings of major stores across Ireland. The main event quite naturally takes place at the Disney Store on Grafton Street in Dublin. It all kicks off at 8.30pm on Thursday the 3rd of September when fans can start queuing up for entry. Fancy dress is encouraged and prizes will be given out to the best costumes in line.

Then at 12.01am on Friday the 4th of September, the doors will the thrown open for customers to check out the new toys, clothes and collectibles. There will be exclusive giveaways on offer for customers and all manner of intergalactic craic.

Smyths toy stores in Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Galway and other locations will also be opening at midnight and there will be free posters given away to the first 50 fans. Details are here.

The Disney store will also be open early on Saturday and Sunday with special Jedi training for the the little ones.

A live stream will be taking place over 18 hours from the 10.45pm on the 2nd of September which will unveil all the new pieces and beam in from 12 different countries. It’s kind of a big deal.
