VIDEO: They made the real car from the Mad Max game

There’s a new Mad Max video game on the way that draws from the entire mythology of the character - and now the car is real.

There’s a new Mad Max video game on the way, which kinda sorta draws on some elements from the recent Mad Max Fury Road features and also tells its own story.

It’s looking pretty good, up close and personal fisticuffs and open world driving in your warmachine called the Magnum Opus.

The name is no coincidence - this is the defining masterwork of a long-time carsmith from the game and bringing it to life took the combined talents of a whole crew of mechanics and designers.

And it must be a very strange experience to have built an entire game around a car and to know it inside and out before actually getting to see and touch it in real life.

The game itself sees you playing as Max who is left with nothing at the start of the game but a will for revenge.

Rebuild yourself and craft the ultimate war vehicle at the same time to escape the madness and maybe even reach some kind of redemption.

Mad Max comes to consoles and PC from September 1, 2015.
