VIDEO: Red band trailer for Scout's Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse - gory and hilarious

There’s a movie on the way, which sees scouts facing off against walking undead. It’s a comedy, it’s got violence and we think it looks freaking great.

Here’s the first full trailer which is definitely not safe for work for violence, language and nudity. All the good stuff basically.

We heard about this film a good while ago with some very early promos after it shot in 2015.

The release date when then delayed from March 2015 to a much better date around Halloween.

Delays always cause us a bit of worry but in this case it really just seems to have been a way of getting it in shape for a better time of the year and slowly generating some early buzz from genre fans.

It really looks like a lot of fun, with some obvious references to other horror pictures (there’s a great shout out to The Thing in that trailer) and a vibe that feels a bit like a goofier and more juvenile Shaun of the Dead.

Christopher B Landon directs, fresh from helming Paranormal Activity The Marked Ones - which was a perfectly entertaining entry in the series.

Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse is coming to cinemas in Ireland on November 6.
