Rise of the Tomb Raider coming to PS4 and PC in 2016

Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced as an Xbox One exclusive, but it will eventually make its way to PlayStation 4 and PC in 2016.

Publisher Square Enix revealed that the upcoming sequel to 2013’s Tomb Raider will be released on PC in early 2016 before making its way to PlayStation 4 “in Holiday 2016.” It will arrive on Xbox consoles first, on November 10th, 2015.

Square Enix’s statement says that the game is a “console exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for one year after its initial launch.” From that, we can expect a PlayStation 4 release around November.

In the reboot of the Tomb Raider series, players delved into the background of Lara Croft as she was beginning her adventures. Rise of the Tomb Raider will see her become the heroine that we are familiar with.

Lara will explore “the most treacherous and remote regions of Siberia to find the secret of immortality before a ruthless organization known as Trinity." She’ll also have to use her wits and survival skills, form new alliances, and “ultimately embrace her destiny as the Tomb Raider."

Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10th, on PC in early 2016, and later in the year on PlayStation 4.
