In Irish cinemas July 10th
There's a sequel to Ted in cinemas this coming week - it's imaginatively titled Ted 2. Writer, director and star Seth MacFarlane will be hoping for a major hit after the first one managed to take in more than $500 million back in 2012. Most other films are staying out of its way, especially with Termiator Genisys just a week into its launch and healthy continuing ticket sales for the likes of Jurassic World and Minions.
Here's what to catch in cinemas this week.
A sequel to the 2012 comedy hit sees Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) and friend Mark Wahlberg working to prove that the bear is a real person in a court of law. It's all so that Ted can legally adopt a child but is really just an excuse to set up a bunch of inappropriate jokes which will likely be very, very funny for the target audience.
Beach Boys fans, this one is for you. It stars Paul Dano as a young Brian Wilson and John Cusack as an older version of the acclaimed performer. It sees both young and old Wilson dealing with trying times in his life - trying to get to grips with the album Pet Sounds and trying to throw off the yoke of a controlling therapist in later life.
The Irish team behind animation The Book of Kells is back with another gorgeously made tale. This time its about two young children who travel back from the city to their home on the coast where a mystery is waiting to be solved. Featuring the voices of Brendan Gleeson, David Rawle and Lisa Hannigan.
