VIDEO London Has Fallen trailer - Gerard Butler can't save Big Ben

There's a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen on the way. It's called London Has Fallen...

Let's take a minute to think about that title shall we? Last time it was a codename for the US President and he was in pretty serious trouble at the White House. Gerard Butler saved him, all was well with the world again. This time, the POTUS is in London for a state funeral when things get explody so Butler is going to... rescue the entire city?

Here's the teaser. It doesn't really tell us a lot.

It very much looks like a work in progress, not surprising for a film which only recently wrapped shooting and won't be in cinemas until January 2016. One big takeaway is that the CG, even at this early stage, already looks better than the Amstrad-level crap which appeared in the first film. Seriously, it was absolutely terrible. They shot most of it in a field where there wasn't even a White House. And it really, really showed...

Still it was a decent enough action flick and made a good deal more money than the other assault on the White House movie from that year - White House Down. Butler makes for an amiable lead and the main cast is back including Aaron (I used to be Two-Face) Eckhart, Morgan (I used to be God) Freeman and Melissa (I'm still pretty good actually) Leo. The film is directed by Babak Najafi.

London Has Fallen is in cinemas in January 2016.
