Games that are played with a keyboard and mouse will be playable from the comfort of your couch, while typing looks a great deal easier than it is on controllers. It will also make it much easier to play split-screen titles on PC.

Controls can be customised on a game-by-game basis. Plus, if you don’t have time to tweak controls to your liking, you can download tried-and-tested control schemes from the Steam community.

A limited number of Steam Controllers will be shipped on October 16th. The Controller will officially launch on November 10th. The Steam Controller will cost €54.99.

We’re looking forward to trying out the Steam Controller for ourselves. It certainly looks intriguing, and anything that makes PC gaming more appealing to the masses is OK in our books.
