Britney Spears is getting her own mobile game
The singer has teamed up with Glu Mobile in a five-year licensing deal. Glu will develop and release a game where players will be able to interact with Britney and “experience the glitz and glamour of the entertainment business.”Glu Mobile is behind Kim Kardashian’s game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which was released last summer. It’s been quite the hit for Glu, and a nice little money earner for Kim herself. It made $74.3 million in 2014 and $21.3 million during the first quarter of 2015 alone. This led Katy Perry to sign up with the mobile game company earlier this year, and now Britney Spears is following suit.Glu chief executive officer Niccolo de Masi released a statement to say that the team was thrilled to sign a deal with Britney Spears. The statement added, “We anticipate the title resonating tremendously with Ms. Spears’ nearly 90 million multi-generational social followers around the world.”Which celebrity will be next?
