Mortal Instruments moves to TV as Shadowhunters - directed by McG
For what it's worth, I kind of liked The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones when it hit cinemas back in 2013. It was a darn sight more enjoyable than anything Twilight ever conjured up, with some fun action scenes, decent humour and an engaging cast including Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Irish trio Robert Sheehan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Aidan Turner. But despite lots of pre-release hype and a loyal fanbase from Cassandra Clare's book, the film only earned $90 million on a $60 million.
