Twitter-owned Vine has proven to be a smash hit with mobile users, and now a new update will sharpen the features of the 6-second video app.

The biggest of the tweaks is the fact that users now have the option to upload videos stored onto their device for the first time. Up to now Vine has required that clips be taken in-app before being posted.
