Exports of Office Machines & Automatic Data Processing Machines - which includes items like computer parts, hardware, processors, and semiconductors - increased by 188%, from €796m in July 2025 to €2.3bn in July 2026.

“Both the value of export and import goods increased in July 2026 compared with July 2025," said CSO statistician Jane Burmanje. "Goods exports went up by €2.1bn to €18.9bn. While the exports of medical and pharmaceutical products rose slightly by €17.9m (+0.3%) to €6.9bn in July 2026 compared with July 2025, exports of office machines and automatic data processing machines more than doubled, by €1.5 billion to €2.3bn over this period."
In July 2026, Ireland’s top exporting partners were the United States (€5bn), the Netherlands (€1.9bn), and Great Britain (€1.7bn). The continued strength of exports to Britain is notable, increasing by a third to €1.7bn in July 2026 compared with July 2025 (€1.2bn). There was a notable increase in exports to Britain bracketed as Chemicals & Related Products, up 62.3% to €468.3m. Exports of food and live animals to Britain rose by 22.2% to €449.7m compared with July 2025.
The seasonally adjusted preliminary data - which removes fluctuations that may occur due to seasonal patterns in trade - said the value of goods exports increased by €1bn (+5.8%) compared with June 2026. Seasonally adjusted imports rose by €260.5m (+1.9%) compared with June.
