Business groups in the West call for fast-track transport investment

Business groups based in the west of the country have called on the Government to fast-track investment in transport infrastructure in the region to support economic growth, improve connectivity and promote balanced regional development.
Galway Chamber, Shannon Chamber, and Limerick Chamber said the investment in roads, public transport, and rail were needed to create a better-connected western region, adding these projects were essential to supporting housing delivery, labour mobility, business investment and international competitiveness.
