Argentina's libertarian president Javier Milei says he wants to emulate Ireland's economy but Irish economists point out that GNI* is a better tool to measure the economy than GDP.

Argentina’s president Javier Milei aspires to reform his country’s economy in the way that Ireland turned around its fortunes over the past three decades.

The libertarian outsider, who swept to power last year, has taken to invoking Ireland in his fiery yet frequently academic speeches.
