EY Ireland unveils new chief economist
Rossa White, chief economist, EY.
Professional services firm EY Ireland has named Rossa White as chief economist, responsible for macroeconomic research and analysis.
Rossa joins EY from DCC plc, where he was head of group investor relations and communications. Before that, he held chief economist roles at the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA), and Davy in Ireland.
At the NTMA, which he joined at the time of the EU/IMF/ECB programme in 2010, he was part of the team that re-engaged with investors and led Ireland back to the bond market.
Frank O’Keeffe, EY Ireland’s managing partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rossa to EY. His career has been defined by a great combination of strong international investor engagement and a strategic understanding of how macroeconomic trends translate into real business decisions.”
Rossa added: “I’m delighted to be joining EY. My ambition is to provide fresh economic insight to our clients and to help them understand what matters for Ireland’s distinctive economy. I’m excited about working with the team, and our clients, across EY’s diverse range of businesses and sectors.”
Rossa has a Masters in Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce International (French), from University College Dublin.
