Pre-tax profits at the Irish arm of expanding furniture retailer Jysk decreased last year by 84% to €491,274.

New accounts filed by the Irish arm of the Danish home retail brand, Jysk Ltd, show that profits decreased as revenues rose by 22% from €69.66m to €85.09m on the back of new store openings in 2025.

At the end of August 2025, Jysk’s network had increased to 27 stores here.

The pre-tax profits of €491,274 for the 12 months to the end of August 2025 follow pre-tax profits of €3m in fiscal 2024.

The directors state that the 22% increase in revenues “can be attributed to the continued expansion in the Irish market, including the opening of five new stores, inter-company sales with Jysk UK, continued growth in online, and the improvement in operations in existing stores”.

The directors add that there continues “to be high inflation in the market and effective cost control continues to be the focus for management”.
