Irish-headquartered global payments giant Stripe has become a partner of Ryder Cup Europe ahead of the 2027 tournament coming to Adare Manor in Limerick.

Stripe was founded by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison, who were born in Limerick and grew up in nearby Dromineer in Co Tipperary. Under the new agreement, Stripe will become a worldwide partner and the official payment solutions partner to the Ryder Cup for the 2027 and 2029 matches.

On site, Stripe Terminal will power payments across food and beverage, merchandise and retail at the event at Adare Manor. Ryder Cup says Stripe will also work with the organisation to ensure consistent financial reporting.

The partnership agreement will see Stripe become a partner to both the 2027 match at Adare Manor, and the 2029 match set to be held at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota, USA. Stripe joins Smurfit Westrock, Capgemini, DP World, SAP, and Rolex as worldwide partners for the 2027 Ryder Cup.

“Some of the world’s most complex businesses rely on Stripe for their financial infrastructure — from payments to managing billing, revenue, and money movement. An event like the Ryder Cup — hundreds of thousands of fans with payments running across ticketing, food and beverage, and merchandise — is exactly the kind of scale Stripe operates at everyday. We’re proud to become a worldwide partner and to power the full fan journey, from buying tickets at home, to spending at the golf course," said Stripe chief revenue officer for Europe, Middle East, and Africa Conor McNamara.

European Tour group chief executive Guy Kinnings said the ticketing, merchandise and catering operations of Ryder Cup included over 70,000-square-feet of merchandise space at the 2025 match in New York. "Stripe’s technology platforms will help us to deliver a cashless experience in Ireland with increased speed and convenience for our fans around the world,” said Mr Kinnings.

Dual-headquartered in Dublin and San Francisco, Stripe was founded by the Collison brothers in 2010. In February, Stripe was valued at €135bn. The company has dual headquarters in San Francisco and Dublin. Businesses running their system generated $1.9tn (€1.6tn) in total volume in 2025, up 34% from 2024, and equivalent to roughly 1.6% of global GDP.

Stripe’s Revenue suite (comprising billing, invoicing, tax, and more) is on track to hit an annual run rate of $1bn (€800bn) this year.

In March, Smurfit Westrock was announced as a worldwide partner and packaging innovation partner for the next three editions of the golf showpiece event, running through next year’s tournament in Adare Manor in Limerick and continuing at further tournaments in Hazeltine in Minnesota in 2029 and Camiral on Spain's Costa Brava in 2031.
