Tui making return to Cork-Majorca route next summer

Route will connect Cork and Palma as travel group returns after year hiatus

Tui flights will return to Cork next summer, with the tour and travel giant confirming a route connecting Cork and Palma, Majorca in summer 2027. 

The flight from Cork to the Majorcan capital will operate every Tuesday from May 18 until August 31, 2027.

In 2026, Tui operated three fights from Cork - to Palma, Reus, and Lanzarote - before opting to pause services to the Southern hub in 2026. Now, the German-headquartered group has confirmed its return to Cork.

“We’re delighted to introduce the Cork to Majorca service from Cork for summer 2027, giving Munster holidaymakers even more choice when planning their next sunshine escape," said Tui's head of Ireland, Katrina Barry.

Globally, the war in Iran and subsequent fuel crisis has played havoc with international travel. However, it has also added to the appeal of many 'traditional' western European travel routes like Spain and Portugal. 

Tui Group owns Marella Cruises, and Palma is a key port for sailings across western Europe. A range of Mediterranean cruise sailings depart from the city. "Mediterranean cruise holidays remain incredibly popular with Irish consumers and make for fantastic holidays. TUI is a valued partner and we’re delighted to see the popular tour operator return to Cork Airport for next year’s summer season,” said Cork Airport head of aviation business development and communications Tara Finn.

The return of Tui is expected to see nine airlines operating out of Cork in 2027: Aer Lingus, Aer Lingus Regional, Ryanair, KLM, Aer France, Swissair, Lufthansa, Sun Express, and Tui.
