Cork and Shannon set to carry 136,000 passengers over bank holiday weekend
Cork Airport will welcome 69,000 passengers this June Bank Holiday weekend, while Shannon i expecting 67,000 passengers, and Dublin Airport will see 503,000 flyers use the facility.
Some 69,000 passengers will travel through Cork Airport this weekend while Shannon is expecting 67,000 over the bank holiday period, while Dublin could experience its busiest ever travel day.
The busiest days of the coming weekend will be Friday, May 29 and Monday, June 1. On Monday, Aer Lingus will start its new service to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain.

This week will also see the restart of four popular Ryanair summer routes from Cork - to Carcassonne, La Rochelle, Rhodes and Zadar. All four services will operate twice weekly for the summer and into the early autumn.
"Visitors this week were marvelling at the summer sunshine and we hope for a repeat again in the week ahead," said Cork Airport managing director Niall MacCarthy. "Despite our ongoing large-scale construction works, our team are still providing the same friendly, easy, smooth travel experience.”
Passengers intending to travel are advised to arrive at Cork Airport at least 90 minutes prior to boarding.
Shannon Airport is set for another bumper June Bank Holiday period as it gets ready to welcome over 67,000 passengers, an increase of 11% on the same period in 2025, CEO Ray O'Driscoll said.
Meanwhile more than half a million passengers are set to pass through Dublin Airport over the bank holiday weekend. Over the four-day period between Friday and Monday, a total of 503,000 passengers are forecast to fly in and out of the airport. The busiest day of the weekend is set to be Sunday, with around 131,000 passengers expected, which could eclipse Dublin Airport's busiest ever day.
