Newcode AI Ireland rolls out services for legal sector

Advanced AI solutions provider Newcode AI Ireland has appointed experienced solicitor Donna O’Leary as director and head of the company.

A former solicitor at law firm Mason Hayes & Curran, Donna O’Leary will lead Newcode AI’s initial focus is on the legal sector in Ireland, with plans also to offer wider AI solutions to finance, insurance, banking and the public sector in due course.

Newcode.ai is currently hiring legal engineers across Europe and the US to build AI solutions that transform legal workflows. It recently completed a $6.5M+ seed round in the US, led by Alliance VC together with The LegalTech Fund and other investors.

 Originally from Farranree, Co Cork, Donna founded DOL Consultancy, an AI consultancy, in April 2025, after identifying a growing need for practical AI literacy and upskilling within the legal profession and other regulated sectors.

Donna holds a BCL Clinical, Law, from University College Cork, as well as a Masters in Aviation Leasing and Corporate Finance from University of Limerick. She is a lecturer at the Law Society of Ireland.

Donna’s appointment marks the next stage of Newcode’s expansion in Dublin, with plans to fill 30 roles by the end of the year, and forms part of the company’s wider international expansion following a recent seed funding round of more than €6m backed by Alliance VC, The LegalTech Fund, and other major investors.
