Abbie Jago, Ben Kirwan, and Sofia Kahwaji launch Pfizer's 2026 apprenticeship programme. Some 22 roles are available with applications open until March 17.Â
Pfizer has opened applications for apprenticeships in science, engineering, and manufacturing based in Cork, Kildare, and Dublin. Â
Some 22 roles are open as part of Pfizer's 2026 apprenticeship programme. The programme is open to people of all ages and is suitable for both school leavers or any individual seeking a change of career or education programme.Â
The roles will be based at Pfizer’s sites in Ringaskiddy, Grange Castle in Dublin, and Newbridge, with applications open online until March 17.
The apprenticeships are delivered as part of Ireland’s national apprenticeship programme in partnership with the State's training authority Solas, and they range from two years to four years in duration.
"A career here provides the opportunity to contribute to medicines that impact millions of people around the world," said Pfizer VP of global biotech operations John Sourke.Â
"Our national apprenticeship programme here in Ireland gives apprentices the opportunity to earn and learn while developing the skills needed to build rewarding careers and contribute to life-changing medicines.”
The roles in Cork are for electrical instrumentation apprenticeships and mechanical automation and maintenance fitter apprenticeships. The roles in Dublin include QC Lab apprenticeships, logistics apprenticeships, and manufacturing engineering. In Kildare, the roles are for QC lab apprenticeships and electrical instrumentation.
Con Ferry, of Solas, said the apprenticeships combine real-world experience with nationally recognised qualifications.
"Programmes like this highlight how apprenticeships not only meet the needs of our economy but can also open doors to rewarding long-term careers in sectors such as science, engineering, and advanced manufacturing, providing individuals with valuable opportunities for growth and long-term success," he said.
