AN Irish-founded company based in LA whose founders include a former Fair City actor has received $2.3m (€2m) in pre-seed funding investment for its business which aims to avoid employees 'quiet quitting'.
Dosen was set up Ronan Wall, Victor Burke, and Cian McCarthy. The company looks to help businesses to hold on their employees "by aligning employee purpose with company objectives". The company said that up to 60% of employees in some companies are 'quiet quitting' - doing the minimum in their workplace and psychologically detached from their jobs.Â
The funding round was led by Affinity Ventures with investment from Unshackled Ventures and Fuel Ventures and exceeded its initial target. The funding will enable the company to accelerate product development, scale the team and deepen market penetration.
“We’re thrilled by the overwhelming support we’ve received, exceeding our initial round size by 50%," said Dosen chief executive, Ronan Wall from Inniscarra, in Co Cork.Â
"Dosen is designed specifically to help HR teams and senior leaders solve the biggest challenge they face right now, underperformance or loss of their top talent. This investment allows us to reach more people and companies and put an end to the trend of ‘quiet quitting’," said the UCC graduate.
Fellow founder and chief marketing officer Victor Burke played Wayne Molloy on Fair City but the Dubliner now lives in LA.Â
“This pre-seed round validates our mission to redefine workplace learning. By automating the personalisation of training at scale, we’re excited to make a significant impact for organisations and the people within them," said Mr Burke.
