John Caulfield is set to make a sensational return to the home dugout at Turner's Cross.
No, not in any sort of capacity with Cork City Football Club but instead the former Rebel Army manager and forward will bring his Galway United troops to the Cross to take on Dundalk.
Due to ongoing pitch upgrades in Eamonn Deacy Park, Galway have been forced to change venues for four of their home League of Ireland Premier Division fixtures.
Three of those games, against Derry City, Sligo Rovers and Waterford, have been switch to Pearse Stadium (the home of Galway GAA), while this Friday’s clash with the Lilywhites (an old foe of Caulfield and Cork City), will now take place on Leeside.
Separately, United’s trip to Tallaght Stadium to take on Shamrock Rovers that was originally scheduled for Friday 26 June at 8pm, will now kick-off at 7:30pm on the same date due to operational management with concerts at Marlay Park.
